WINNIPEG – Hundreds were without power in parts of St. Boniface this afternoon.
The downed lines at Lagimodiere and Dugald affected 740 customers. Manitoba hydro says an overhead connector failed, causing the outage.

The power outage occoured at 12 PM Saturday and was restored within 2 and a half hours.
And rural Manitoba was also experiencing a black out. 4,000 customers were without power after a vehicle struck a transformer around 7:30 AM Saturday. 2,600 customers had power back up within an hour. the remainder customers had power restored by 10 AM.
