TORONTO – Yonge Street between St. Germain Avenue and Melrose Avenue has partially reopened Friday morning following an earlier gas leak.
The incident happened in front of The Burger Cellar restaurant after a garbage truck backed into a gas meter.

No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say crews had to dig up the pavement to repair the damage.
The southbound lanes have fully reopened and the northbound lane is still down to just one lane.
The repairs are expected to be complete by noon.
