Tuesday December 9th on The Morning News

It’s no secret that cancer touches all of us especially here in the Maritimes. In 2014 alone, an estimated 2600 people will die of cancer in Nova Scotia with 6,100 new cases being diagnosed. So how can we cope with cancer? It might be as simple as changing some daily habits. At 7:45 we’ll learn more about an upcoming webinar designed to show how we can change our brains in a positive way through relaxation and “finding the good”. It’s a unique approach and we’ll be joined by Dr. Timothy Walker and Kelly Cull of the Canadian Cancer Society to learn more about it.

Even during the holidays the old adage rings true: “It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.” At 7:15 we’ll be joined by Halifax based Bluegrass quartet The Modern Grass to talk about their fun and festive Swingin’ around The Christmas Tree Live Tour.

While most of us are still focused on Christmas shopping and preparing for the upcoming holidays, this is also the time to remember that the end of 2014 will soon be here.  Most of us wait until the spring to think about implementing tax strategies to put more money in our pockets but we need to be aware that Dec. 31st may be the most important date for many reasons.   We’ll get more from Leanne Salyzyn,  of Salyzyn& Associates Limited, Debt Professionals at 7:45.
