UPDATE: West Kelowna crash — vehicle was stolen

UPDATE:  The pieces to the puzzle dealing with a multi-vehicle crash in West Kelowna are starting to come together.

The crash happened at the intersection of Gosset Road and Highway 97 — across from Gellatly Road — where a blue Dodge Dakota ran a red light — hitting two vehicles and clipping a third.

Three men in the Dodge fled the scene but were later arrested.

Police say the Dodge was stolen and that police had been pursuing the vehicle but called off the chase before the crash.

They say the vehicle had been stolen from a residence in the 3400 block of Road.

One motorist was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries

UPDATE: Police have one person in custody — reportedly tried to flee the scene of the crash.

Reports say three vehicles were involved and that a blue pickup truck caused the crash by running a red-light.

The man taken into custody was arrested near the Blenz coffee shop.

WEST KELOWNA – West Kelowna RCMP are dealing with a serious accident.

It happened at the intersection of Gellatly Road and Highway 97 and involved several vehicles.

At least one occupant was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

Witnesses say there may be as many as five vehicles involved.
