WINNIPEG – Police say that $160,000 in damage was caused in a blaze at 753 Manitoba Avenue Saturday.
Fire crews responded to the well-involved fire at the wood-frame home. The blaze was fought quickly but crews remained at the scene well after.
No one was in the house at the time of the blaze.
Officers say the cause of the fire is suspicious and still under investigation.
The damage was so severe there is a possibility of heat hidden within the home. Crews are still monitoring the scene and being rotated for a 48-hour period
