A Michigan man is facing the unusual charge of “Unlawfully Driving Away of an Automobile” after he stole an ambulance and tried to drive to a topless bar.
The local EMS ambulance was transporting a patient into McLaren Hospital in Oakland County, Michigan, at around 11:00 p.m. Sunday night.
That’s when 51-year-old Bryan Kryscio hopped into the front seat and discovered the keys were still in the ignition.
The Pontiac, Michigan man then took off in the stolen vehicle.
WXYZ News in Detroit reports that Kryscio is homeless and may also be suffering from mental health issues.
Luckily, hospital workers were able to track the ambulance’s location, and police were able to stop Kryscio in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Dash cam video shows officers pulling Kryscio from the cab of his stolen ride late Sunday night.
He told officers he was heading to the Booby Trap, a topless bar, before being stopped.
But Kryscio’s night wasn’t quite over, after being arrested, he posed for what is possibly the greatest mugshot of all time.
