WINNIPEG – Outdoor skating season has begun at The Forks.
One kilometre of on-land skating trails are ready for business, The Forks announced Friday. Skate rentals are available.
“We’re embracing winter here at The Forks,” Paul Jordan, Chief Executive Officer, is quoted in a news release. “One kilometre of trails within Arctic Glacier Winter Park is open, along with the Canopy Skating Rink and the rink by Festival Park Stage.”
It could be a few weeks before the river skating trails are ready.
Meantime, The Forks is also preparing its toboggan run, snowboard facility and Snowman Lounge.
