It’s that time of year when families start preparing for a jolly guest to come down their chimneys, but that wasn’t the case for one boy in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Instead of watching Santa come down the chimney, the 13-year-old found himself stuck in his home’s chimney.
Investigators believe the boy’s parents weren’t home when he returned to the house, and he tried to get into the house by climbing down the chimney with an extension cord.
On his way down, he got stuck but managed to get into a sitting position and reached his phone to call for help.
The boy can be heard breaking down in tears while on the phone with emergency services.
Fire crews who rescued the boy said he was covered in soot from head-to-toe and had a bruised ego, but was otherwise fine.
