Emotional reunion for family and lifesavers

It was an emotional reunion for a family searching for the men who saved their father’s life.

Two weeks ago Marian Reti went into cardiac arrest on his front sidewalk. Luckily for him Jeff Hurd and Mason Germain happened to be near by.

“The last thing I remember I was cleaning my car from snow… they told me I fell down and two guys give me CPR.”

Reti’s family was so desperate to express their gratitude that they left a heartfelt note behind, hoping they would be able to track down Hurd and Germain. It was a long shot but it worked.

Hurd was moving that afternoon and Germain was behind the wheel of his moving truck when they noticed Reti fall down. Without hesitation, they reacted.

“Its hard to describe, you see the person, they’re on the ground and you can see in their face life is leaving them and I see him now with his grandchildren and his daughter it’s amazing to see.”

Reti says the fact that the men were there and that they reacted so quickly is nothing short of a miracle.

Reti came home from the hospital on Sunday after having a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted in his chest. That same day he and his wife Jana celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
