HALIFAX – First responders scrambled to the scene of the city’s latest pedestrian-vehicle collision Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at Artz Street and Brunswick Street just after 8:30 a.m.
A 75-year-old man was in a crosswalk when a vehicle turned left onto Brunswick Street and struck him.
The pedestrian was tended to by paramedics and was seen walking to an ambulance. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said a 35-year-old female driver was given a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The ticket carries a $693.95 fine and four points on a driver’s license upon conviction.
