Raptors sell out season tickets for first time since 2000-01 season

TORONTO – The Toronto Raptors are heating up the hard court and scorching season ticket sales in its wake.

For the first time since the 2000-01 season, the basketball club announced it has sold out of season tickets — 12,500 of them.

Not since the Vince Carter days has the team been this successful on and off the court.

As of Dec. 2, the 2014-15 edition of the Raptors are the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 13-4 record and continue to generate buzz in the Toronto sports scene.

Individual tickets are still on sale but they are becoming increasingly scarce with many fans snatching them up well into the later parts of the season.

In a tweet on Monday, the team thanked their fans and also said details about season tickets for the 2015-16 season will be coming soon.
