SASKATOON – Traffic was restricted Monday afternoon at the intersection of McOrmond Drive and Highway 5 as Saskatoon police dealt with a multiple vehicle collision. Emergency crews were called to the crash involving a propane truck and two other vehicles around 3 p.m.
The collision knocked over a traffic light standard and firefighters had to extract one patient from a half-ton truck.
One person was taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
Saskatoon Fire Department officials said the propane truck caused concern initially but was later deemed safe.
An earlier crash shortly before 7 a.m. also damaged a light standard at the same intersection.
