Winnipeg retailers cashing in on Cyber Monday

WINNIPEG — With online shopping growing in popularity, so is Cyber Monday.

It is the equivalent of Boxing Day or Black Friday but online.

It is always the first Monday after Black Friday. This year it falls on December 1st.

Winnipeg retailers that offer online shopping are hoping to cash in on the craze.

“There is quite a bit of increase in traffic, probably double the traffic that it would normally be and people are looking to get stuff in time for Christmas so you get that window where it will arrive before then,” said Michael Hamm, the president of Home Run Sports.
