Man hospitalized after shooting in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – A 19-year-old man was injured after an early Saturday morning shooting in Saskatoon. Police have interviewed witnesses but details are vague at this time.

Shortly before 3 a.m., officers were called to Leif Erickson Park area and found the young man suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police do not believe the shooting was random and no arrests have been made. Detectives with the targeted enforcement unit are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
