12 Days of Hope campaign launches in Kelowna

Kelowna-based NGO, Hope for the Nations launches Christmas campaign. Hope for the Nations

KELOWNA, B.C. – A Kelowna-based non-governmental organization, Hope for the Nations has launched a campaign to facilitate contributions to a number of developmental projects taking place all over the world.

Organizers say the aim of the 12 Days of Hope campaign is to empower children at risk to become children of change. A different regional partner will be highlighted each day for 12 days throughout the holiday season.

“We wanted to give our partners a voice, a way they could highlight their own projects and specific needs in a very tangible way. We also wanted to give people the choice of how they would like to see their money used,” says North American Program Director, Patricia Phillips.

She says after hearing about the campaign, the Children’s National Theatre School in Kelowna offered to lend their support by donating all proceeds of their public performance of “Gold as the Sun” on December 5, to the cause.
