Crews battle fire at home of apparent hoarder

TORONTO – Toronto firefighters are battling a 2-alarm fire in Monarch Park at the home of an apparent hoarder, according to media reports.

The fire broke out at approximately 2 p.m. Friday at the home near Coxwell Avenue and Danforth Avenue.

The home belongs to a 60-year-old man and fire crews had a difficult time getting into the home due to the apparent hoarding.

Traffic in the area could be slow Friday afternoon as police and fire crews investigate what led to the fire.
