VAUGHAN, Ont. – Two Toronto men are facing charges in connection with a head-butting incident at a banquet hall north of the city that left a teen seriously injured.

York Regional Police released a video earlier this week showing the 14-year-old boy being head-butted by a suspect during the Nov. 8 incident at the banquet hall in Vaughan.

Police say the teen – who was working at the banquet hall during a large wedding reception – went outside the front doors and asked a group of guests to return inside with their alcohol.

It’s alleged the teen was then assaulted by one of the guests, who head-butted him.

The teen was taken to hospital with serious injuries and police say the suspect left the scene before officers could arrive.

Investigators say tips from the public led them to identify the suspects and that two men were arrested Thursday without incident.

Sammem Fatah, 22, is charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm, while Omaid Fatah, 19, is charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Sammem Fatah was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket for a bail hearing on Friday, while Omaid Fatah is to appear Jan. 8.
