RCMP were on scene in Mission late Thursday night, responding to a call of a male suspect who had barricaded himself inside with a firearm.
The incident unfolded at 32973 Best Avenue. RCMP and the Abbotsford ERT team responded to the scene.
There were unconfirmed reports of a hostage taking and shots possibly fired at a police cruiser, but everyone was located and accounted for, and the house was cleared just after 11 p.m.
On Friday, RCMP confirmed that a shot hit a police vehicle and that a suspect had surrendered to police.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called to help with Mission RCMP, though their exact role is unclear.
