A woman is dead after a crash involving a pedestrian and a school bus on the west side just before 5 p.m. today.
Police say emergency crews were called to Oak Street at Park Avenue just before 5 p.m. this evening.
The pedestrian, a 78-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital but later died.
There were no children on the school bus at the time of the crash. Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The incident is Vancouver’s 11th collision this year that has resulted in a fatality.
