There is a sense of sadness in Masha’s eyes. The dog has been waiting everyday for two years for her owner, who is never coming back.
According to The Siberian Times, Masha has been showing up at a hospital in Novosibirsk, Siberia every morning for two years. At first, she arrived with her elderly owner when he fell ill and was admitted. She would run home at night to guard their house and come back in the mornings.
When he died last year, she kept showing up.
A family recently tried to adopt her, but Masha ran away and returned to the hospital the next morning.
For now, hospital staff and patients ensure she has food to eat and a bed to rest in, but are hoping she will find a loving home soon.
