TORONTO — Broadway veteran Idina Menzel is hitting the road next year.
The Tony Award winner, who provided the voice of Elsa (and sang “Let It Go”) in the animated blockbuster Frozen, will kick off the tour in Richmond, Virginia in July.
There are only two Canadian stops on the 39-city tour — a Sept. 1 concert at Montreal’s Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and a Sept. 2 show at Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.
Menzel, 43, is currently starring in If/Then on Broadway. She previously starred in productions of Wicked and Rent.
She has released five albums, including this year’s Holiday Wishes.
In 2011, Menzel performed two concerts with conductor Marvin Hamlisch at Toronto’s Koerner Hall that were taped for broadcast on PBS and for release on CD/DVD.
