VERNON, B.C. — An empty house turned into the home of a massive party in Vernon Saturday night. “The Bylaws officers called the RCMP for a complaint of a loud party in the 6200 block of Rimer Rd.” says Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk. “Several of our officers attended to deal with approximately 250 individuals partying in an empty house that the renters had been evicted from.”

RCMP arrested several adults and youth, including a 17-year-old young man police say assaulted an officer. His name is not being released because he is a minor, but he is facing numerous charges including assault and resisting arrest.

Police say damage to the house is extensive.
