The Grade 9 student at Balcarres High School topped about 3,100 other submissions in the Hockey Canada contest.

The mask’s theme is the organization’s 100th anniversary, but Morgan says he’s sworn to secrecy about his design until it’s unveiled.

The teen, who will be on hand for the reveal, says his friends had a hard time believing him when he told them about his big win.
