WATCH: New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr.’s amazing one-handed catch

WATCH ABOVE: Odell Beckham Jr. made a jaw-dropping one-handed touchdown catch that lit up social media and helped the struggling New York Giants take a 21-10 lead over the Dallas Cowboys at halftime of their Sunday Night Football contest.

A catch by New York Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is being celebrated by some as the best in NFL history, the bright spot in a 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

No one on either team would stop talking about his one-handed catch of a 43-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning in the second quarter, which gave New York a 14-3 lead. The catch also caught the attention of basketball star LeBron James, who shared his reaction on Twitter:

Beckham’s right hand was fully extended in almost a backstroke motion while his legs were almost perpendicular to the field when he caught ball and fell into the end zone.

“That catch? Outstanding! I was like OOF! Some of my work,” Bryant said.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Beckham, who had a career-high 10 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns, conceded it was his best catch in a game.

“I hope it is not the greatest catch because with time I hope I can make more,” said Beckham, who practices one-hand catches all the time. “It really means nothing. You still go home at the end of the day with a loss, and that’s just not a good feeling.”
