MONTREAL-EST – The 19-year-old driver involved in a horrific crash early Saturday morning that killed two teens and left three, including himself, seriously injured, will face charges.
Police spokesperson Manuel Couture told Global News that the young man will be charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and also criminal negligence causing death, after the car he was driving slammed into a tree and then hit a house on Notre-Dame Street in Montreal-Est.

The condition of the surviving teens was upgraded from critical to stable and police do not fear for their lives.
Couture also indicated that charges of impaired driving may be added, pending the results of a blood test.
