SASKATOON – Coda Gordon scored his 13th goal of the season 2:56 into overtime as the Swift Current Broncos edged the Saskatoon Blades 8-7.
Brett Lernout led the charge offensively, recording a hat trick for Swift Current (14-9-4). Andreas Schumacher had two goals and two assists, while Glenn Gawdin and Jake DeBrusk also chipped in.
Josh Uhrich had two goals for the Blades (6-16-1), who lost their fourth straight. Nikita Soshnin, Ryan Graham, Austin Adamson, Sam McKechnie and Brett Stovin rounded out the attack.
The Blades head to Brandon next to take on the Wheat Kings Tuesday.
