Saskatoon Mayor Don Atchison running for 5th term

SASKATOON – Don Atchison will seek a fifth term as Saskatoon’s mayor. Atchison made the announcement Thursday at a North Saskatoon Business Association luncheon.

Atchison was first elected mayor in 2003. Prior to that, he was the councillor for Ward 10, serving three terms after winning the council seat in 1994.

By the time the 2016 civic election rolls around, Atchison will have been in his position for 13 years, making him the longest serving mayor in Saskatoon’s history.

Atchison won the 2012 civic election with 52 per cent of the vote over challenger Tom Wolf.
