Rockets back to their winning ways

VICTORIA — The Kelowna Rockets got back to their winning ways by defeating the Victoria Royals 5-3 on Wednesday night at the Memorial Centre in Victoria.

The Rockets were led by defenceman Jesse Lees, who was an offensive force in the game, picking up two goals and an assist while firing a total of six shots towards the Victoria net. Lees also extended his point streak to five games, having scored 10 points in that span.

Another Rocket on an impressive roll is Tyson Baillie who with a goal and a helper on Wednesday, now has 10 points in his last four games.

In goal for the Rockets, Michael Herringer stopped 30 out of 33 pucks fired his way en route to his third victory of the season.

With the win, Kelowna finishes a rigorous five game road trip with a record of 4-0-1-0 and improves to 21-1-2-0 overall this season. They will now return home for a weekend double-header against the Portland Winterhawks on Friday and Saturday night at Prospera Place.
