Montreal police search for Plateau burglary suspect

MONTREAL — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who allegedly robbed several Plateau Mont-Royal businesses over the summer.

Police said the armed man burgled a variety of businesses, including a bar, a drugstore and a grocery store between mid-June and August.

During the robbery, the suspect showed up at the till, pulled out his gun and forced employees to hand over the contents of the cash register.

He is described as a 30-40-year-old French-speaking white man with brown eyes, about 1.68 metres in height and weighing 90 kilograms.

During the June robberies, he wore a gray hoodie, a black cap with a red stripe and sunglasses. In August, he wore a black, short-sleeved shirt with white motifs on it, black pants and sunglasses, with a cap.
