TORONTO – Christmas is still more than a month away, but children and adults alike lined the streets of Toronto Sunday afternoon for the 110th Santa Claus parade.
The floats began their parade route at Christie Pits proceeding east along Bloor Street, then turning down University Avenue. The more than 30 floats finished at the St. Lawrence Market.

The temperature in the city was just below the freezing mark as parents and children watched clowns, elves and marching bands make their way along the parade route.
The annual parade has been a tradition in Toronto for more than a century and is put on through donations and volunteers.
In 2013, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was asked not to march in the Santa Claus parade after admitting to smoking crack cocaine.
