TORONTO – To say the Snowflake Regatta in Riverhead, N.Y. didn’t go smoothly is an understatement.

Video of the event held over the weekend and posted to YouTube shows a hapless group of rowers colliding and falling overboard, sending spectators into a frenzy.

In the video, just over three minutes long, one boat rows directly into a pier, sending one person overboard, another rower gets hit in the head with an oar, a separate boat runs into land, and one boat runs aimlessly adrift into several competitors.

The madness on the water prompts several jeers from angry onlookers, including one woman who yells “you ruined it for them!”

As the video mercifully comes to a close, one man sums up the chaos with a pained “Oh, no. Again?” as two boats smash into each other.
