REGINA – Investigators are looking at a block heater as the possible cause of an overnight fire that damaged two cars and two houses in Regina.
Firefighters say the flames jumped from one vehicle to another in a driveway, then started licking at both homes in the city’s Regency Park area.
No one was hurt, but fire officials say one of the homes has significant damage and the residents can’t return until repairs are done.
They say block heaters can trigger fires and they’re encouraging people to examine both the heater and extension cords to ensure they’re up to a cold winter.
