LA BROQUERIE, Man. – A woman is dead after a collision between a car and a train at an unmarked crossing in southern Manitoba.
RCMP officers responded to a report of a crash near La Broquerie at about 1 p.m. Thursday, police said in a news release.

The 44-year-old driver was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead, RCMP said.
Police are working with Canadian National Railway police to investigate.
The cause of the collision isn’t known, but alcohol is not considered a factor.
