Wynne says she’s dealt with sexual harassment complaints as premier

WATCH: Kathleen Wynne confirmed Thursday that there have been sexual harassment allegations in Ontario’s public service since taking over as Premier. Wynne added that she has taken action on those cases and respects the confidentiality of those involved.

ALLISTON – Premier Kathleen Wynne says she has had to deal with complaints of alleged sexual harassment in the workplace in her role as leader of the Ontario government.

Wynne says any allegations that were brought to her were dealt with through an existing process, and insists she acted in accordance with the wishes of those coming forward for anonymity.

Wynne refuses to say how many allegations were brought to her attention or when, but insists she did take action.

Speaking at an unrelated event in Alliston, Ont., Wynne again said the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace is not new.
