Calgary police are turning to the public to help solve the 2012 shooting of a man in his vehicle in Forest Lawn.
56-year-old Kather El-Khatib was shot to death inside his dark green Ford Bronco, in the early morning on Friday, May 25, 2012.
The Bronco was parked in the 4300 block of 19 Avenue SE.
Police say a woman who knows the victim discovered him around 1:15 am.
Investigators have re-released a photo of El-Khatib, in hopes of jogging someone’s memory and generating new tips.
They have also released an image of a vehicle similar to the one the victim was sitting in.
Investigators are hoping someone in the neighbourhood will come forward and have put up posters around Forest Lawn asking for tips.
Anyone with information on this murder, or on the movements of El-Khatib before his death, should call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
