At 7:15 we’ll celebrate Take Your Kids to Work Day! It’s the 20th year for the event and will help more than 250,000 students from across the country get a first -hand look at a variety of jobs.  We’ll meet one Halifax grade nine student who will spend the shadowing Nova Scotia’s Lieutenant-Governor and the Private Secretary!

Don’t be surprised if you see Darth Vader in downtown Halifax or a Star Trek Character at Scotia square this weekend! Hal-Con is taking over Halifax as over 7000 sci-fi, fantasy and gaming fans will descend on the convention centre for the annual event. At 7:45 we’ll talk to friend of the show and well known YA Author Kat Kruger about showcasing at Hal-Con this weekend!

At 8:15 we’ll talk with our favourite Halifax physician, Dr. Conter about diabetes month! We’ll find out who’s at risk and what you can do to avoid getting the disease.

And we’ll we continue down the road to Nova Scotia Music Week with a chat with the drummer/producer of one of our region’s hottest bands. Adrian Morris is a member of the 4-piece Electronic/Pop group Neon Dreams.  At 8:45 we’ll learn more about the band from Morris and talk about the man himself being up for Musician of the Year and Aboriginal Artist of the Year!
