Woman allegedly abandons dogs by side of Saskatchewan highway

HUMBOLDT, Sask. – RCMP have recovered one of two dogs allegedly abandoned by the side of a Saskatchewan highway last Thursday.

Mounties received a call around 9:30 a.m. that a woman dropped two dogs off on the side of Highway 2 just north of the junction with Highway 5.

She then took off southbound on Highway 2 in a small grey or silver car.

Police located the larger of the two dogs, a shepherd mix. The second dog, which is smaller and grey in colour, has not been found.
