Nearly 120 polls will be open on election day, Saturday, Nov. 15.

The City has touted the fact that there are more advance polls than in previous municipal elections, but some say more is not necessarily better. Last month, a Vancouver man filed a formal complaint with the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal claiming that the advance polls are located in areas that shut out residents in the Downtown Eastside, East Hastings, Mount Pleasant and the Grandview-Woodlands neighbourhoods, with preferential treatment given to wealthier people living in Vancouver’s westside.
