Stirling haunted mansion as popular as ever

This spooky holiday is just the motivation one Southern Alberta family needs to turn their home, into a house of horrors.  The Stirling Haunted Mansion has grown in popularity over the years, and is a regular spot for trick or treaters.

The Reimer’s have been frightening Stirling residents for over a decade, their haunted mansion is a hot spot during the Halloween season. It’s so well-known now, that on Halloween night, hundreds flock to see if they can make it through the mansion.

Glory and Richard Reimer own the mansion and love the Halloween season. Richard likes to keep it fresh for guests by continuously innovating.

“We add things daily to provide the best experience, we add and change.”

What started out as a simple dungeon of doom has blossomed into a full scale mansion, maze and haunted park. But even through all the extravagance, it’s hearing compliments from visitors that makes it all worth it.

“We hear all the comments they make and it just makes you feel so good.”

It’s a good thing they love it, because the haunted mansion, is actually the Reimer’s house. They live in the upstairs and leave most of the props up year round.

“We just leave it there, just put a wreath on Frankenstein and call it Christmas.”

The effort and enthusiasm put into the place isn’t lost on guests. One visitor even went as far to say:

“It was without a doubt the scariest haunted house I’ve ever been in.”

Expect it to be a busy night at the Stirling Haunted Mansion.
