NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – A Saskatoon company has been fined after a 2011 workplace death at an asphalt plant.
Anderson Rental and Paving pleaded guilty in North Battleford provincial court to failing to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of a worker resulting in death.
The company was charged after a worker died on Oct. 5, 2011 at the plant located near Glaslyn.
Anderson Rental and Paving was fined $37,000 with a $14,800 surcharge.
Eight other charges were withdrawn.
Glaslyn is approximately 200 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
