TORONTO – Yes, winter, we know you’re coming.

For those in parts of Northwestern Ontario, that message was loud and clear on Tuesday.

A large low pressure system that moved into the area, together with cold temperatures, made for a winter wonderland in the Geraldton area where the town received 15 cm.

Pickle Lake received around 20 cm.

Though there are no warnings, watches or advisories for the region, flurries are expected to continue into Friday.

There is the possibility that southern Ontario will see some of the white stuff on Halloween, though it is anticipated that most of the precipitation will fall as rain.
