Man barricaded in NDG motel room

MONTREAL — Police have confirmed that a man has barricaded himself in a motel room on St. Jacques Street in lower Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

At around 8:30 a.m., a 48-year-old man whom police described as “delusional” confined himself to his room.

According to authorities, the hotel management called police, concerned for both the security of the man and the other motel guests.

A perimeter has been set up and a SWAT team at the scene.
