TORONTO – A Toronto transit bus driver has been charged in connection with a collision that killed a 65-year-old woman in the city’s north end.
Police say the incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 (on Lawrence Avenue West at Allen Road).
It’s alleged that a Toronto Transit Commission bus was turning out of the (Lawrence Avenue West) station when it struck a woman who was walking in the crosswalk.
The 34-year-old driver is charged with careless driving, turning unsafely and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Neither the driver’s name nor the name of the victim have been released.
