TORONTO — More people in the U.S. share a name with Halloween killer Michael Myers than any other horror movie villain.
According to directory service Whitepages, there are 4,282 people listed as Michael Myers.
There are 30 men with the name Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and five named Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street).
A search of Canada411 shows eight Voorhees (but no Jasons) and a dozen Kruegers listed north of the border, including a Fred Krueger in Saskatoon.

Whitepages said 96 people share the name of Psycho‘s Norman Bates and 10 with the name of The Shining‘s Jack Torrance. Only one person — in California — is listed as Damien Thorn (The Omen).
Thousands of people in the U.S. have the same names as horror masters Stephen King (2,068), Wes Craven and Alfred Hitchcock (seven each).
There are more than 315,000 women with the first name Carrie, nearly 6,400 men named Hannibal, and 510 Frankensteins.
Less scary, but a little ghostly, are the 2,632 people named Casper.
