Find out which story Global Montreal’s viewers had the most to say about this week on Your Say:

It was a week of terrifying events.

First, on Monday, a soldier was intentionally run down by a car in the south shore suburb of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

Then, on Wednesday, another solider was fatally shot as he stood guard at the War Memorial in Ottawa.

Global News covered these two tragic events extensively.

In Montreal, Global’s Billy Shields covered the tragedy, reaching out to the Muslim community of Montreal who fear backlash after it was revealed the two killers have alleged ties to Islam.

“What we’re scared of is that people are going to mix up between whoever claims he is doing a crime in Islam and the everyday Muslim who is just trying to go to work and have a normal life and try to be part of this society,” said Haroun Bouazzi with AMAL-Quebec.
