REGINA – The Regina Police used a taser to help restrain a man Thursday night after he became agitated and confrontational.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Cornwall Street for a domestic disturbance. Police arrived to find a 42-year-old male and a 40-year-old female at the house.
During the police investigation, the male became agitated, and during an altercation the man was tasered.
The male was assessed by EMS but he refused treatment. Both police officers suffered minor injuries.
Tige Andrew Charles Shaw has been charged with two counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer and one charge of Resisting a Peace Officer.
Shaw will make his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
