At 6:45 we’ll get a preview of next week’s Fiera Properties Bluenose Squash Classic tournament happening in Halifax. The event will bring professional squash athletes from all over the world to our city and will also showcase some local squash players.

When his throat was slashed during an NHL hockey game, goalie Clint malarchuk nearly died on the ice. But that’s just the beginning of his incredible story of survival. At 7:15 Malarchuk joins us at the red table to talk about his new book that’s being called Hockey’s ultimate survival story, “The Crazy Game.”

You’ve no doubt seen wild mushrooms on your walks or hikes this fall- maybe even your own backyard. They’re common hazards for dogs and outdoors cats particularly in the fall. At 7:45 Dr. Eric Carnegy joins us to talk about mushroom toxicity in pets.

At 8:15 we’ll meet a band that’s gone from “Nothing Special” to “Down For Whatever.” Ontario’s Ill Scarlett burst on the rock reggae scene in the mid-2000’s with the hit single “Nothing Special” and a record that went Gold in Canada. After a 5-year break from recording, the band is back with a new self titled record, a softer sound and another hit on their hands with “Down For Whatever.” We’ll meet the guys and hear a tune on our show!
