WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Folk Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of people every year, will be cut back to four from five days in 2015.
The change means the price to attend the festival will also be cut by $40, folk fest officials announced Thursday.
The folk festival implemented steep increases for adult tickets to the 2014 festival while making the affair free for children 12 and under, prompting criticism from some fans.
Tickets for the 2015 festival, which takes place July 9 to 12 at Birds Hill Provincial Park, go on sale Nov. 29.
