Wallstreet Common set to open in Saskatoon

Watch above: unique open-concept collaborative workspace set to open in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Business owners and entrepreneurs will have a new space to work out of come December.

Mike Payne and Taylor Pfeifer, owners of the marketing company Fancy, came up with the idea of creating this space when they were looking for their own office in Saskatoon.

“We wanted to meet with people somewhere other than a coffee shop. We wanted somewhere to call home,” said Payne.

“We stumbled across this building before it was up for lease and fell in love right away. We started dreaming, because that’s what we do. We knew it was probably more than we could chew, but we took a bite anyway and went for it.”

Now in the final stages of construction, Wallstreet Common is almost ready for its first inhabitants. Featuring open concept areas, fully-wired offices, and boardrooms with original flooring, brick and ceilings, the space is a beautiful backdrop for workers.

“A lot of people are very excited about this project,” said Pfeifer.

“It’s a community of networking and putting like-minded people all in one space. Ideas, things are going to be created right on the staircase headed to get a snack. It’s a great space for individuals and businesses alike.”

Wallstreet Common is located on Wall Street, right across from the new police building. Construction will be finished in the upstairs area first.

For $250 a month, co-workers have access to lockers, loungers, file storage, 24-7 building access, meeting rooms, an exclusive mailing address, an honesty market and more.

For a higher fee, businesses can rent out the office spaces available, with even more options.

“The city is growing in so many ways and changing into the type of city that people, especially young people, want to live in,” said Payne.

“We’re in the warehouse district and there is a north downtown plan in the works, so we’re excited for that to take shape and be early adopters of that.”
