New information on missing man Justin McKinnon-Blomme

CALGARY – Police have released new photos of a missing Calgary man, after learning more details about what transpired the night he disappeared.

Justin McKinnon-Blomme, 21, was last seen on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014.

Investigators have now determined McKinnon-Blomme attended a house party that afternoon and evening.

They say he left the party around 8:15 p.m. to go to a liquor store in Acadia, before returning.

It is alleged the young man was assaulted while at the party, and police have charged a 20-year-old man in connection to the incident. However, they say the assault is not believed to be directly related to his disappearance.

Investigators believe McKinnon-Blomme left the party with friends a short time later.

He was last seen around 10:30 p.m., when he left the vehicle he was in with his friends, at the intersection of Acadia Drive and Southland Drive S.E.

On Wednesday, investigators released photos taken from surveillance footage at the liquor store he went to in Acadia, in order to show what he was wearing.

Justin McKinnon-Blomme, also known as Justin Rhodes, is described as approximately 5’10” tall, 140 lbs., with a slim build. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark jeans when he was last seen.
